JARROD LOWERY WINS ELECTION TO NORTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Lowery's decisive victory flips North Carolina's 47th House District for Republicans

PEMBROKE, N.C. — Robeson County native, Marine veteran, and former Lumbee Tribal Councilman Jarrod Lowery decisively won election to North Carolina's 47th State House District.

Jarrod released the following statement after his victory:

"After more than a year of praying, shaking hands, eating a lot of food, and campaigning all across Robeson County- we won!

I'm so thankful to the people of Robeson County for putting their trust and confidence in me. We have a lot of work to do, but the future is bright. From Red Springs to Marietta, we only have forward to go from here."

Lowery's victory is significant: he is the first Native American Republican elected to serve in the North Carolina General Assembly and the first republican elected to the 47th District in Robeson County. Lowery's 22-point victory is attributed to a diverse coalition of supporters comprised of White, Black, Native American, Hispanic, Rural, Urban, and middle class voters who were ready for fresh leadership representing them in Raleigh.
